Ken Levine

For more than thirty years Ken Levine has worked as a writer, director, producer and major league baseball announcer. He has been the head writer for M*A*S*H, producer for Cheers, creative consultant for Frasier and Wings, and has co-created three of his own series, including Almost Perfect.

Levine and his partner David Issacs have written for several network TV series ranging from The Jeffersons to The Simpsons and Becker. All told, they have more than a hundred episodes to their credit. Among Levine's directing credits are episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, Becker, Dharma & Gregg, Wings, It's All Relative and Just Shoot Me.

Levine has also written screenplays, including Volunteers and noncredited rewrites for Jewel of the Nile and Mannequin. He recently completed his first stage play, Coming This Fall.

Levine has won an Emmy, two Writers Guild Awards, and has received recognition from Peabody and Humanitas.

He also has enjoyed a successful sportscasting career. He has been the radio/TV play-by-play voice of the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, and San Diego Padres, and he currently provides commentary for the Los Angeles Dodgers broadcast package.

Levine lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Debby, his son, Matthew, and daughter, Annie.
