Laura McIntosh
Laura McIntosh is the host, producer and co -creator of Bringing It Home, a weekly cooking show that takes top chefs straight to the source - farms throughout the western United States - to cook with the best and freshest ingredients of the season.
Laura comes naturally by her love of the soil--her family has farmed for five generations. She grew up in the small northern California town of Linden, taking advantage of the nearby walnut, peach and cherry orchards. Laura left her small town to study theater arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She was accepted into the prestigious American Conservatory Theatre program in San Francisco. While in San Francisco, she met her future husband, a professional baseball player, with whom she has two daughters.
Laura has acted and done voiceover work for a number of companies, including Dodge, The Oppenheimer Group International, Dupont and Gallo Wineries. Before Bringing It Home, she hosted and produced The Full Bloom Show on ABC in Northern California. Laura founded M Entertainment Production Company with her brother, Daniel Mozett, combining her talent for performing with her goal to bring the Bringing It Home lifestyle to kitchens across the country.
Now in its second year, Laura hopes the show will be picked up nationally to educate more people about food's journey from the farm to the table. In the spring of 2005, M Entertainment will be launching the Bringing It Home quarterly magazine, which will offer even more tips and recipes to fans of the show.
